  • Pastor Geoff Helton

    Lead Pastor - Contact

    Rev. Geoff Helton has served as Pastor at Audubon Park United Methodist Church since July of 2013. He is a 2004 graduate of Whitworth University and is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary with an M.Div (2007) and a Th.M. in Old Testament (2009). For more Pastor Geoff, click here

  • Pastor Dale Cockrum

    Associate Pastor of Congregational Care - contact

    Rev. Dale Cockrum joined the pastoral team at Audubon Park United Methodist Church in July 2016. He brings over 40 years of ministry experience as a pastor and district superintendent. He is a graduate of Stanford University (1975) and San Francisco Theological Seminary (1978) . For more on Pastor Dale, click here

  • Katy Shedlock


    Pastor Katy Shedlock  joined the staff at Audubon Park United Methodist Church in July of 2017. Katy graduated with a double major in theater and anthropology from Drew University in 2008 and received her masters of divinity from Iliff School of Theology in 2017.  Katy previously served as the pastor at Rockford UMC and is married to Ben, who she met on a service learning trip to work with refugees in Cairo, Egypt.  For more on Pastor Katy, click here. 

  • Drew Homchick

    Director of ministries with Youth & Young Adults - CONTACT

    Drew Homchick joined the staff at Audubon Park United Methodist Church in August 2016. He attended Washington State University where he earned a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education (Ed. M). Drew lives in north Spokane with his wife Heather, their son Brady, and their dog Buddy.

  • Laura Smith-Velonza

    Office Manager - Contact

    Laura is our newest staff member, and one we share with Fowler United Methodist Church. She is in the office Sunday-Wednesday, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.  

  • Cole Peterson

    ORganist & Pianist

    Cole is the newest member of our staff, and is a 2015 graduate of Whitworth University, with post-graduate studies in music and music education at Portland State University. He teaches music privately, including guitar, bass, piano, voice, ukulele, and music theory.

  • Chris Moreau

    Choir Director

    Chris Moreau has been a Developmental Music Specialist with Spokane Schools for the past 25 years. She grew up in the Spokane Area and received both her undergraduate and Master's degrees from Whitworth University. She has been married for 37 years to her husband, Mickey, and they have two daughters. 

  • Cathy Fink

    Bell Choir Director

    Cathy Fink serves as one of our Bell Choir Directors. She co-leads our bell ensemble and also performs solo during worship services. She and her husband, Randy, are parents of two adult children, Barry and Bethany. Cathy also teaches highly capable elementary students in the Mead School District. 

  • Carol Hendershot

    Bell Choir Director

    Carol has directed Bell Choir at the church since 1994. She co-leads our bell ensemble and also performs solo during worship services. Carol is married to Rich and they have a son, Scott. Carol has also worked as a pediatric physical therapist at the Spokane Guild School for over 25 years. 

  • Ann Fritz


    Ann began serving as a Treasurer of the church in 2005. Ann is passionate about addressing such social issues as domestic abuse and human trafficking abd serves as a leader for Strength for the Journey. She and her husband Joe have eight children, fourteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. 

  • Sharon Miller


    Sharon has served as one of the treasures since 2010. She has 34 years of bookkeeping experience in a variety of fields and is also educated as a paralegal. Sharon grew up in the Audubon neighborhood, just three blocks away from the church. She has worked hard to improve our accounting systems and records.
